VICE PRESIDENTIAL CORNER:

A FEW WORDS FROM OUR VP:
Greetings!
Well, it's getting to be that time of year again when we find ourselves on the go - so many opportunities to get out and play. This is why we are revisiting our top-ten-or-so list of songs you should know before going to a jam. This month we will concentrate on "Soldiers Joy". Did you know there are actually two versions of this wonderful song? The A parts are the same, but the B part takes a slight twist. I have yet to find the alternate version (different from the Club packet) in print. Perhaps I will locate it before this month's meeting. So come ready to take a step back in time. We will also have an open jam session going on during the Soldiers Joy workshop, so there will be music for all!
As of this writing, there are only 122 days till the Warm-Up picnic. That means it is time to begin thinking about how you can help out. Your opportunity to volunteer is here. Joe and Marie have graciously offered to Chair the event, but they will need a lot of help. Let's all pitch in and give them a big hand.
To all of you traveling to what I have heard to be a slice of heaven (Texas) this weekend for the Glen Rose Festival, I wish you a large bank account for gas and a safe and happy trip. May you enjoy the music, being with old friends, and perhaps meet a few new ones!
See the rest of you this Saturday. Till the rain lets up, a soggy Peaceful good day to all!
Chuck
