Volume XXII Number One

January 2004

FROM OUR NEW PRESIDENT:

Ding Dong, ding dong...

The Christmas bells have softly faded and have given way to the ringing in of a new year. January 1 st is a time for beginning. My hope is that for each of you, 2004 will bring you positive welcomed changes, be it physical, spiritual, or personal goals attained. Remember to set the goal, but to allow time to attain it. Old habits are hard to break and new ones take time to get 'seated in'. For me, I compare change to driving down a muddy road. Sometimes you're the first to drive it, sometimes ruts are good if they don't get too deep and cause you to become stuck. There is the always the chance to 'slip off' of the path and create a new road. So, climb in, hold on tight - the NEW YEAR IS UPON US!

See you in January,

Karen Stiner

A Note from Our Secretary:

2004 is here already. Hope everyone is ready for some music fun this year. Our Christmas Gathering was a disaster due to the snow. When there is reason to question an event happening, like the snow and lots of events being canceled city wide, please check your email or call a Board member to verify. If you still have a donation for the church, please bring it to the General Meeting and we will get it to the church pantry.

Some good changes are in the works for GPDA, and Karen will announce these at the January 10th meeting.

Don't forget about the Club Calendar at www.gpda.org. I am trying to get that updated. If you have an event you want added, please email me the date/time/location/facts, and I will add it.

Barb

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joe and Marie Anderson due to the recent passing of Joe's mother.
